Parking and Transportation

Rideshare

Need help getting to the Fruit Bowl? Check out our Rideshare Sheet to find a ride! If you've got room in your car please consider offering a ride!

Tent Camping ARRIVAL

  • Participants and volunteers who are tent camping and driving alone should park in Satellite Lots A or B. Then stage your gear and yourselves near the marked shuttle zone for transportation to the Ticket Booth & Trailhead.
[BLM regulates that no vehicle camping or tent camping are allowed in the satellite parking lots!]
  • Participants and volunteers who are tent camping and carpooling may use the Fruit Bowl Access Trail only temporarily to drop off passengers, camping supplies, and other gear at the trailhead. Then immediately drive your vehicle back to Satellite Lots A or B, park, and return on the shuttle.

Head directly to the ticket booth to make sure everyone is able to check in and receive their wristbands.
Proceed along the Fruit Bowl Access Trail cautiously — we have hundreds of participants, so take extra care and go slow. The trail is rocky but drivable for most cars. Please do not drive on any vegetation or undisturbed soil, and only pass oncoming vehicles at designated areas.

Drop off your gear and friends before immediately bringing your vehicle back to Satellite Lots A or B, then take the shuttle back to the trailhead yourself.
[BLM regulates that no vehicle camping or tent camping are allowed in the satellite parking lots!]

VanLife / Car Camping ARRIVAL

  • We are selling a limited number of VanLife passes for those living in their vehicles who wish to park closer to the Fruit Bowl Parking Lot.
  • We are also offering Car Camping passes for those who prefer to camp in their vehicle or have it close by, but a bit farther from the main action.
All other parking in the Fruit Bowl Parking Lot and along the Fruit Bowl Access Trail is restricted to Staff and Emergency Vehicles only.

All participants and spectators without a VanLife or Car Camping pass must park in Satellite Lots A and B, which is free.
The Satellite Lots are over 1.7 miles from the cliffs, so bring a tent to minimize trips back and forth, or bring a bike if you’ll need to access your car.
[BLM regulates that no vehicle camping or tent camping are allowed in the satellite parking lots!]

Shuttle

The shuttle will run daily from morning to evening, November 23–27, between the Fruit Bowl Trailhead Parking Lot and the Satellite Lots.

  • Last-call shuttle: 10:00 PM from the Fruit Bowl Parking Lot to the remote lots.
  • Exodus shuttle: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM on Friday, November 28 for festival departure.

Please plan to arrive during scheduled shuttle hours.
During Wednesday party night, shuttles may run a bit later than 10 PM, but this is not guaranteed.

If you have a lot of gear, you may drive into the Fruit Bowl Parking Lot briefly to drop it off (10-minute limit), then return your car to the Satellite Lots before checking in.

Departure

When you are ready to leave:

  1. Bring your gear to the Fruit Bowl Trailhead Parking Lot.
  2. Catch the shuttle to your Satellite Lot.
  3. You may drive your car back down the trail to pick up your items — but please depart quickly to avoid congestion.

You can also bring your gear back on the shuttle if you don’t have much to carry. Proceed cautiously along the Fruit Bowl Access Trail — it’s rocky but drivable for most cars. Do not drive on vegetation or undisturbed soil, and only pass other vehicles at designated areas.
