We are stoked to host amazing women and men at North America’s first Freestyle World Cup

We have heard your concerns about the financial commitment required to compete and believe we have negotiated a solution... World Cup athletes who volunteer at GGBY can count competition time as volunteer hours!! 

From this point forward, this is the official line of communication for all competition info.

We are devoted to getting YOU to the Fruitbowl to share in the long-standing, epic, Gobble Gobble, Bitches, Yeah _____________________________________________________________________

Here are the specifics:

Due to the amount of competitors who have reached out regarding ticket prices and volunteer options, we have been collaborating with BLM, Friends of the Fruitbowl (GGBY’s sponsor organization), and ISA to figure out a solution. We are hopeful that this option stands true to the OG-GBY spirit and provides an alternative! Volunteering at this event is another way to GET INVOLVED, meet cool friends, learn new things, and create cohesion among the festival as a whole. 

All volunteers work for 16 hours throughout the festival and receive a significantly cheaper ticket. As a competitor you will fulfill, AT THE MINIMUM, 8 of 16 hours via competition meetings, warm ups, and qualifiers. If you compete beyond qualifiers, the number of volunteer hours fulfilled by competing will continue to increase. Athletes who compete in finals will fulfill the 16 hour volunteer commitment via competition alone! All others will complete 4-8 hours of volunteering in a variety of roles: cliffside safety, check-in tent, tension team, trash pickup, community engagement, etc.
